Mice control

Mice might be small, but the problems they create can quickly become big—especially when left undetected. If you’ve seen small droppings, noticed chewed materials, or heard scratching sounds in your walls or under the floorboards, you may be dealing with a mouse infestation.

At Elimipest Southwest, we offer professional, discreet and effective mouse control services across homes, sheds, and outbuildings. We start by carrying out a thorough inspection to assess the scale of the problem, identify entry points, and determine the species involved.

Mouse Species

There are three main types of mice that may be found in or around UK properties:

  • House Mouse
  • Field Mice (Wood Mouse and Yellow Necked Mouse)

Identifying the type of mouse is critical. This affects how we manage the problem in accordance with UK legislation. For example, field mice are legally protected in certain circumstances, and only one rodenticide is authorised for use against them. If house mice are the issue, a wider range of rodenticides can be legally applied.

Mice Monitoring

To give you added peace of mind, Elimipest also offers a mice monitoring service similar to our rat monitoring contract. We place tamper-proof bait stations and check them periodically to help detect early activity before a full-blown infestation occurs.

This proactive approach is ideal for properties with previous mouse activity or those located near open fields, farms, or woodland areas.

Regardless of species, we also offer humane trapping methods to ensure ethical control. Our team will tailor a treatment plan that’s safe, targeted, and effective—without compromising the safety of your family or pets.

Mice don’t just cause property damage—they also pose a health risk. They can carry and spread diseases such as salmonella, which is transmitted through their droppings and urine. This can contaminate food and surfaces, putting people and pets at risk of illness, especially in kitchens or food storage areas.
